A 35-year-old Salem man was found with a handgun and marijuana after crashing his vehicle driving while intoxicated, New Jersey State Police said.
QUINTON TWP. -- A 35-year-old Salem man was found with a handgun and marijuana after crashing his vehicle allegedly driving while intoxicated, New Jersey State Police said.
Authorities responded to State Route 45 in the area of Mile Post 7 for reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a bronze Cadillac driven by Dainel Hall, according to police.
While interviewing Hall, police said they detected the odor of alcohol. Hall failed a sobriety test he was issued by officers, authorities said.

After searching the vehicle, police located an open alcoholic beverage in the center console and detected the odor of marijuana.
Police also found 13 baggies of marijuana and a .22 caliber handgun.
Hall was charged with a DWI, as well as unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to have a weapon, and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.
Hall was processed and held at the Salem County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
