The vent will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Salem County Vo-Tech School.
MANNINGTON TWP. -- Salem County's Old Boys will gather for their 83rd annual party Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Salem County Vo-Tech School.
The event begins at 7 p.m. Old Boys are encouraged to arrive by 6:30 p.m. to register and have a chance to socialize before the evening begins.
The only requirement to attend the free event is that you be a male age 70 or older and a resident of Salem County.
The oldest Old Boy will receive a special commemorative cane. All attendees will receive a $1 piece to take home.
The Salem American Legion Band will provide entertainment for the evening.
There will also be ice cream and cake served for those attending.
The first Old Boys event was held in 1933 as a birthday party for Gilbert Iredell in Woodstown.
The party was such a good time that those attending decided to continue the tradition and the Old Boys event began.
The vo-tech is located on Route 45 in Mannington Township.
