Miss New Jersey 2016 to be crowned tonight

OCEAN CITY-The second night of competition for the Miss New Jersey Pageant awarded two more contestants with preliminary awards.

Miss Seashore Line, Brenna Weick, of Mantua won the lifestyle and fitness award and Miss Central Coast, Olivia Michael, of Tenafly won the preliminary talent award. Michael performed Ernesto Lecuona's "Malaguena" on piano.

Other awards included the 2nd place parade award, given to Miss Coastal Shore, Madison Welsh, of Westville and the State Community Service award who was given to Miss Camden County, Samantha Rizzuto, of Long Valley.

Saturday concludes the pageant resulting in one lucky woman, out of 30, being crowned Miss New Jersey 2016.

11 women will move on to the finals Saturday night at the music pier, 10 competitors with the highest scores and one voted in by people's choice.

The newly crowned Miss New Jersey will advance on to the Miss America competition held in Atlantic City in September.
