"Project Santa put up its first Angel Tree at the Vineland Library more than 20 years ago. We have worn out two previous trees, and now start on our third.

"Mary Ann actually found a way to add lights this year! It is still dedicated to a very special Angel.

"Patrons are encouraged to stop by the library and select an Angel, which represents a local child-in-need, then purchase a new toy for that particular child.

"Bring the unwrapped toy back to the library. All of the gifts will be distributed to the special children in time for Christmas through several local non-profit organizations. Thank you, Manny and Mary Ann, for helping to put it up.''

To address the heroin crisis, the Camden County Freeholder Board is hosting a Community Addiction Summit at Highland Regional High School in Blackwood on Dec. 9.

The interactive summit will bring together professionals and community members to address this critical issue in our community.

"The scourge of heroin is ripping apart our families and killing our residents," said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. "It is imperative for us to act on this crisis and bring the community together to address it. That starts with this summit, which will create partnerships to impact change in our county."

The Camden County Community Addiction Summit will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 at Highland Regional High School, located at 450 Erial Road in Blackwood.

The summit is essential for parents, middle and high school students, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, addiction treatment providers, social workers, law enforcement, prevention specialists and educators.

To register, please call 856-216-2199 or visit www.camdencounty.com/summit.

The Burton Gallery Group will be at the exhibit for the Bridgeton House Tour on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Burton's is on the tour schedule for the west side of the town, but as always, we welcome anyone who wants to start the holidays with a view of "Bridgeton Past."

Light refreshments will be served and their will be someone there to answer questions and relate stories of old time Bridgeton.

"Bridgeton, Then and Now" is about the prominent houses of the 1880s and 1890's. Stories of who built them, who lived in them and lovely pictures of now by Sam Feinstein.

Test your knowledge of the World's Fair House and the Governor Seeley childhood home. Burton's is at 333 W. Broad St. at Shiloh Crossing.
