This is a change of location or the satellite office
SALEM -- Senate President Steve Sweeney, Assembly Deputy Speaker John Burzichelli, and Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro encourage Third Legislative District residents to visit the district's satellite office at the Cumberland County Library, 800 E. Commerce St. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m.
This is a change in location for the satellite office routinely held at the Bridgeton Public Library on the first Tuesday of the month.
"Our traveling offices are an opportunity to provide greater accessibility to our residents in the comfort of their local area and neighborhood," said Sweeney. "On a daily basis residents contact our legislative offices for assistance in communicating with a state department, request certification for their notaries, and relay comments about important pending state legislation."
The satellite office is hosted by experienced constituent services staff members who are available to assist residents with issues such as unemployment claim difficulties, energy assistance programs, notary public application certification, consumer complaints, or any matter with a state agency.
"We welcome residents to visit at any point during our satellite office hours and meet with our legislative staff," added Burzichelli. "The goal of our traveling office locations is to make our services more accessible to residents in our district. It is our hope that this will provide constituents with a convenient opportunity to inquire about legislation and to ask questions about the status of bills that may personally affect them."
The visit will highlight consumer resources, including information on energy assistance programs. In addition, residents may learn more about the Temporary Relief of Utility Expense (TRUE) and Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric (PAGE) programs. The Third Legislative District is a qualified intake location for applications.
"The TRUE and PAGE programs assist low to moderate income households who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship and who do not currently receive other types of assistance," said Taliaferro. "I encourage qualifying residents to learn more about these helpful programs."
