The accident took place early Saturday morning on North Hook Road, police say.
PENNSVILLE TWP. -- A Salem County man has been charged with careless driving after his vehicle hit a utility pole and then a house, police said.
The crash took place around 5:47 a.m. Saturday on North Hook Road near King Street, according to Pennsville Chief of Police Allen J. Cummings.
Jabar Pierce, 37, of Salem, was driving a Buick LaCrosse southbound when he left the roadway and struck a utility pole and then a house on the 300 block of North Hook Rd., Cummings said.
While there were no reports of any injuries, the home had structural damage, Cummings said.
Pierce was issued a summons for careless driving, according to Cummings.
