The Greater Bridgeton Amish Market is hosting its Fourth Annual Fall Festival & Craft Show on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This festival is the market's largest event of the year. In addition to demonstrations, family fun, food, and live music there will be a craft show and scarecrow-making.

Kids will be able to enjoy a straw maze, mule and wagon rides, kids pedal tractor pull, bouncy houses, and train rides.

If you're ready for fall, try the fresh pressed apple cider, homemade applesauce, and much more.

The Greater Bridgeton Amish Market is located at 2 Cassidy Court in Bridgeton.

Bob Rose on trying to get an MRI:

"Blue Cross Horizon Direct Access, you confuse me.

"I cannot get a much needed MRI because every place I ask about is out of network.

"However, when I call to question this, the person on the other end was not in the USA and did not speak English, but this OK.''

"I am mystified. And I'm sure you won't understand it, either.

"Once again, for the 63rd year in a row, I'll not be receiving a McArthur Genius Award and the $500,000 that goes with it.

"A terrible injustice, I say, just terrible.

"However, one Bridgeton High school graduate did once receive the award. Do you know who it was?''

A blast from the past:

"I have many pet peeves.

"One of them is Banned Books Week.

"A more accurate title: 'Books that weren't allowed in a particular library -- mostly at the junior high and high school level -- but can be easily found in the city library or purchased at your local used book store."

-- Trent Seibert,

News reporter 1990s

--

"Please join in prayer that Millville Churches will open up their doors to the homeless.

"To date, we have no church facilities for Code Blue 2015-2016.

"Millville Community Church does not have a physical location that they can work out of and they need support for this vital initiative.''

Bethany Grace Community Church
