A Salem man was charged with assault, terroristic threats and robbery, cops say.
PENNSVILLE TWP. - A 23-year-old Salem man faces a slew of charges including robbery, assault and terroristic threats after his alleged involvement with a robbery Thursday, police said.
Pennsville Police responded at 8:28 a.m. to the parking lot of the Orient Restaurant for reports of a robbery in progress. There, they spoke to a 64-year-old man with cuts on his face.
Around the same time, other officers located a BMX bike at the Wawa on Carroll Avenue that cops believes the suspect was riding.
Joseph T. Robinson III was located inside the Wawa and reportedly had cuts on his hands. Police found him in possession of cellphones and cigarettes that were taken from the people at the Orient, according to authorities.
Robinson was charged with robbery, terroristic threats, theft, assault, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After processing, Robinson was held at the Salem County Correctional Facility in default of $50,000 bail.
