This was the 15th year the Gala has been held at the college to raise funds for student scholarships.

CARNEYS POINT TWP. -- Celebrating Halloween in April?

That's what revelers did Saturday night at Salem Community College during the 15th Annual Gala.

This year's theme was "Fright Night, Halloween on Campus."

The event was presented by The Partners of Salem County and the Salem Community College Foundation.

The Gala has raised more than $700,000 for student scholarships since its inception.

Guests got creative with their costumes. There was the Grim Reaper and a large assortment of other ghouls and goblins. "Donald Trump" even made an appearance.

A silent auction featured many unique items, including one-of-a-kind glass creations. There was dinner and dancing in the DuPont Field House in Davidow Hall at the college which was transformed into a ballroom for the event.

SCC's president outlines goals

The Gala was created 15 years ago to mark Salem Community College's 30th anniversary and has continued each year since, raising scholarship funds for students.

The Partners of Salem County include PSEG Nuclear, The Memorial Hospital of Salem County, Franklin Bank and the South Jersey Times.

This year's Gala was co-chaired by Salem Community College Foundation Executive Director Ceil Smith and Foundation Board Member Rita Van Eck.
