Three people allegedly took part in an armed robbery at the Circle K in Carneys Point on Feb. 5.
SALEM -- Three people have been indicted by a Salem County grand jury in connection with the armed robbery of the Circle K convenience store in Carneys Point earlier this year, according to court documents.
Briona M. Peyton-Jones, 19, of New Castle, Delaware, along with Malique O. Sherwood, 21, of Vineland and Tramyne D. Hickmon, 20, of Carneys Point were named in the eight-count indictment.
They were indicted on charges of first-degree conspiracy, first-degree robbery, fourth-degree aggravated assault, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, third-degree possession of a weapon, fourth-degree theft, fourth-degree tampering with physical evidence and third-degree hindering apprehension or prosecution.
The indictment stems from Feb. 5 when the trio is alleged to have robbed the Circle K on Shell Road in Carneys Point.
According to the indictment, the trio "carried out surveillance prior to robbing the Circle K store."
The indictment says a Smith & Wesson .177 caliber BB pistol as used in the robbery.

In other recent grand jury action:
* Albert T. Lawson, 41, of Alloway, was indicted on a third-degree charge of receiving stolen property and a third-degree charge of theft, court documents say.
According to the indictment, on June 17 in Salem Lawson is alleged to have been involved with the theft of jewelry valued in excess of $500.
* Theia M. Crockett, 26, of Salem, was indicted on a fourth-degree charge of criminal mischief, court documents say.
On May 3 in Quinton Township, Crockett is alleged to have damaged property of a man causing a loss in excess of $500, according to the indictment.
