This is the 49th year that Hudock's has been open on the Salem-Quinton Road serving locals and travelers alike.

QUINTON TWP. -- The long wait is over, Salem County.

Hudock's is open for the season.

There was still a spring chill in the air, but the faithful turned out on Wednesday and the lines were long even as sunset neared.

Life is back again to the familiar yellow and white buildings on the Salem-Quinton Road, just east of Salem City. One building for sandwiches and the other for custard and ice cream creations.

The favorites are back a the foot-long hot dogs, the Belly Busters, the Cuban sandwiches. There is also the long list of frozen custard and ice cream creations.

The Scoop: Spring planing begins

This is the beginning of Hudock's 49th season.

Locals and travelers to the Jersey Shore make a stop at Hudock's an annual tradition. Many sit on the picnic tables under the shade trees to enjoy their meals.

A posting on Hudock's Facebook page thanked patrons for their long support.

" ... we could not have come this far without the help of all of you! Thank you so much for all of your support over the years, we truly appreciate it!"

Hudock's is open seven days a week through mid October.
