An unidentified man jumped from the bridge on Tuesday morning around 7:35 a.m., authorities said.

Authorities have not yet recovered the body of a man who apparently jumped to his death from the Delaware Memorial Bridge this week.

The unidentified man jumped from the far right lane of the New Jersey-bound span at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to T.J. Murray, spokesman for the bridge's operator, the Delaware River and Bay Authority.

Murray said as of Wednesday the man, who was 45, had not yet been recovered.

Passing motorists saw the man jump from the bridge and reported the incident to DRBA Police, Murray said.

Citing DRBA policy, Murray said he could not immediately release any more information.

He did say that DRBA Police had notified the man's spouse.

At its highest point, the roadway is about 200 feet above the Delaware River below.
