WHS alumna Alyssa DiPalma is this year's guest artist
Woodstown High School will present its 19th annual Chamber Choir Recital on Friday, April 1 in the Woodstown High School Auditorium.
This annual program features student solos, performances from a guest artist and selections from the choir under the direction of Kahlil V. Gunther.
The featured guest artist this year is vocalist and WHS alumna Alyssa DiPalma. DiPalma studied musical theater at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After graduation, she moved to New York to pursue her acting career. She has appeared as Whatsername in the U.S. tour of "American Idiot" and she made her Broadway debut in Sting's "The Last Ship." DiPalma is looking forward to returning to the Woodstown stage for this program where she will be singing both on her own and in a combined performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with the choir.
In addition, Chamber Choir alumni are invited to join in singing "Jenny Rebecca," the choir's traditional closing piece. Copies of the music will be on hand.
