Good morning!

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to my coworkers for coughing and sneezing all week.
But, to be fair, I feel like everywhere I go there is another person with a cold or flu.
I can't help but feel like this is how a plague starts.

With the Powerball jackpot so high, even us jaded reporters couldn't help but have aspirations for riches.
Jane Humes diligently collects money to buy lottery tickets for the office. Coworkers buy tickets for absent coworkers, not wanting them to be left out of the potential windfall.
Spoiler alert: None of us have quit our jobs yet because of our riches.

Gail Ward reminds people to keep animals inside in freezing temperatures

"I wonder why people get one and then leave them outside? Can't figure that one out. They are part of the family and are to be in the house too. They share every feeling, every emotion a human does, love, happiness, fear, sadness. But the one emotion they don't share with the human is hate. They don't know hate. Shame people can't be more like the animals. "
